The whole fam went into town this morning to pay the mortgage and car payments, and we stopped by Target to get some cereal. While we were there, we decided to try out a new restaurant. Pei Wei just opened and we thought since it wasn’t too crowded we’d give it a try. I really thought I was doing good by ordering the Asian Chopped Chicken Salad. It was a HUGE bowl and I didn’t eat out of the bowl and put some on a plate to eat. The salad was really good. The basil and ginger complimented each other quite well. Hubs had some also and thought it was pretty good. While I was eating it, I asked Hubs if he thought the dish had a bunch of fat in it and we both agreed that it probably did, but sesame oil is better than ranch dressing! When we got home I pulled up the website and checked out the nutritional info. I was a bit surprised! I’m glad I didn’t eat the whole bowl. Hubs thinks I had more than half, but I don’t think much more if I did. SO…..this is per serving and the bowl contained 2 servings.

Hubs says that probably isn’t that bad for a lunch. BUT, I know how long I have to work out to burn 280 cals!!!
I’m glad I’m trying to watch my portion size! Normally I would have eaten the whole thing! I’ve got some extra incentive to losing weight again. I really want to make a dent in my amount by the end of June. That’s VBS and I know for a fact that CB’s oldest son will be helping out. I know this sounds petty and it’s not the only reason I want to lose the weight, but I sure would like to be thinner the next time I run into her!
I think I’ll go lift a bit before I hit the treadmill……Guess I’ve got to get off of the ‘puter to get that done!!
